 | DO NOT VIEW THE SPAM OR CLICK THE LINKS IN THE SPAM | | | Submitted by Lokki | Mar 20 2007 10:43:46 | | | DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS IN THE SPAM. PLEASE.
When they see the referrer link we end up with more spam and to be frank about it, I'm sick of removing 5 pages worth every time I log on.
I'm not doing it anymore, so if you people want a clean forum then make it happen by not clicking the damn spam. |
 | WinHIIP v1.7.3 Released | | | Submitted by psycho | Jun 04 2005 08:06:11 | | | Another great release by Gadget-Freak. Check the official post Here to download and get the latest information.
This program will transfer disc images to a PS2 format hard disc attached to your PC.
V1.7.3:
Corrected several bugs that stopped the majority of "ppf" patch files from being accepted as valid.
Corrected a bug that stopped drives over 256Gb working with Toxic's Extended APA partitions.
Cured a problem with multipart image files introduced with the last version.
Extended the number of scanned drives to 16 for anybody with more drives than sense.
Improved the Read / Write Drive Structure functions to aid in remotely repairing drives.
Moved lots of functions around and added a Utilities button, from which you can select the new Drive Scan & Repair function, although you can only Scan at the moment, the Repair will follow as soon as I can finish it. |
 | Toxic Dual Layer Patcher v1.0 | | | Submitted by psycho | May 03 2005 12:07:30 | | | As many of you are probably aware, the PS2 has problems running DVD9 games backed up onto dual layer media due to to problems reading from the second layer. This is because the data format on burnt DL discs is different than on pressed discs (burnt = OTP, pressed = PTP). However, we have discovered a software hack which allows the PS2 to read even burnt OTP discs resulting in working dual layer backups! Our Toxic firmware for DMS4 chips already includes auto-patching functionality which applies our software hack on the fly when booting games on dual layer media. For those without a DMS4, we present the Toxic Dual Layer Image Patcher! The patcher works by applying our software hack to the game image (.iso, .gi etc) before burning. Once the hack has been applied by our patcher, burn the modified image to dual layer media and play! This method will enable anybody with a modchip capable of booting DVD9 media to backup and play DVD9 games such as Gran Turismo 4.

 | TNT Mod - Only 8 Wires To Install On A V12 | | | Submitted by psycho | Apr 09 2005 14:54:54 | | | The new TNT modchip works on all PS2 models and only requires 8 wires for a V12 console.
The TNTMOD automatically detect and play any type of media (CD, DVD, CD-R, DVD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW and so on) compatible with the PS2 machine so simply insert your disk inside the PS2 and the TNTMODCHIP will recognize the disk you inserted and select the appropriate boot system.
Check out the homepage (http://www.tntmod.com) of the TNTMOD for more information. |

 | DMS 4 Toxic Bios + OS v0.3 Coming Soon... | | | Submitted by psycho | Mar 31 2005 19:46:08 | | | It has been announced that we are only hours away from the next big Toxic release but until that time here are the features that TOXiC OS v0.3 will contain, many of which are currently unavailable from any other mod-chip beyond the DMS4 Pro product range.
- It is now possible to launch your PS2/PSX games and DVD movies off disc
directly from within ToxicOS, bringing ToxicOS one step closer to being a
full OS replacement for the standard PS2 browser.
- DVD-9 games such as Gran Turismo 4 are now playable from the HDD.
- 48-bit LBA support added, while keeping support for 28-bit applications
on the same HDD (such as the Sony browser upgrade).
- Many compatibility fixes for playing games from the HDD have been included.
- Support has been added for DVD+R dual layer media, making DMS4 the worlds
first modchip to support dual layer backups.
- Support for the V12 IDE HDD hack for those daring enough to attempt it
- Configuration screen added to ToxicOS where both modchip and OS settings
can be manipulated. This has made the standard Toxic config menu obsolete.
- Games installed via ToxicOS now show an icon in the updated PS2 browser.
- Fixed Devolution mode with unlicensed memory cards (MM16 etc).
- Many other miscellaneous changes and fixes.
Below are the changes and updates to TOXiC BiOS v1.3 as well:
- Added support for DVD+R dual layer media, making DMS4 the worlds first
modchip to support dual layer backups.
- Fixed devolution mode with MM16 cards
- Fixed booting PSX games which do not have SYSTEM.CNF
Stay tuned for more info |
